Hi guys, here's my tutorial for these snowman nails. The main colour I'll be using for these is this gorgeous new detail paint called Sapphire. It's the most amazing dark blue glitter. So to start with, I'm just going to use this large flat brush, and I'm just going to apply sapphire to the top third of the thumb. For my base colour here, I've used pure foundation Swan as I wanted a milky white base before clearing I'll then use my ombre brush to drag that down the nail to create an ombre effect. You can give the brush a little wipe every now and then, just so that you don't drag too much blue down the bottom. You can also dab your brush in a tiny bit of IPA, and then that just helps create a seamless blend. On the index finger, we're going to do a full cover using Sapphire. one and then the same on the middle finger. For the ring finger, I'm using this liner brush, and I'm just going to do a line down the centre of the nail. Then we're going to fill in one side of the nail using a bigger brush. Don't forget to use a liner brush just to get to the edges. A little trick I like to do is use this one straight brush with IPA to get that flawless line down the middle from the pinky finger. I'm going back in with the liner brush and making these stripes. Make sure they're not too close together, as we need a gap in the middle four later on, you're then going to cure all of that in the lamp for 60 seconds, and then quickly just doing a second coat of sapphire on the middle three fingers when you've done that, go into the lamp for another 60sec cure for the snow man, we're going to use white detail paint on the middle nail. We're going to just do a little wavy line, and this will be the snowy ground and in the next step, you just do these rough little circles. And this is the outline of the snowman's body. You don't need to worry about being too new here, as we can go over this later on. When you've done a rough outline, just fill that all in with the white. And then you can neaten up the edges, make them more curved or bigger, if needed. We are then going to cure that for 60 seconds. Now it's time to add details. I'm using black detail paint to draw the hat. and then I'm using the metal dotting tool and using black to create the buttons and the eyes. Then I'm using an orange coloUr for the carrot nose. This is pumpkin, and then a brown colour for the stick arms. This one I've used is mahogany. Can't forget a little scarf so it doesn't get cold. Here I'm just using cherry detail paint, but you could use any colour you want. I'm also adding matching ribbon detail to the hat using the same colour. With the snowman finished. I'm moving on to the index finger, where I'm doing some rough outlines of some dripping snow. When you've got a rough outline, you can just fill it all in with the white detail paint again. And then I'm just going to go around the edges, make sure they're all smooth and just neaten them up a bit onto the ring finger now where we're going to do a half snowflake. So I'm using the dotting tool to do three dots up and two dots down along the line. Then going to do two dots to the side and a dot above. And below on the diagonal. Then using the liner brush, we're going to join those dots starting from the middle. Make sure you don't have too much product on the brush, or the lines will come out too thick, and you won't be able to see the detail of the dots on the pinky finger, we're going to use the white detail paint and just do another stripe in those gaps that we left earlier. On the thumb, we're going to do two smaller snowflakes, but whole snowflakes this time, so you do the dots like before, but you do the other side as well. And again, just join them up with a small amount of product on your liner brush. final finishing touch is using the dotting tool to just add some little snow in the background of the snowman. You've done all this, the handling goes in the lamp for a full 62nd floor. Finish off with super shine top coat. And this is the final design. Hope you enjoyed watching this. If you decide to recreate these, I'd love to see, just make sure you tag me nailed by Claire and also home of nail art.
