Hi everybody. I'm going to show you a step by step on how to achieve this elegant Easter look using the HONA mini egg edit that has just come out this month. I'm so excited. Before we start, can we just listen to this unintentional ASMR unboxing?
Now that that's over, I think we can all agree how stunning these colours are and how perfect they are for making mini egg inspired nails, fair play to your HONA, you smash it every single time. That's them swatched together. They're just absolutely stunning together. And of course, you can't have a mini egg edit without a mini egg cuticle oil. It smells insane. So I did my nails straight after that, using the builder pot in milkshake, stunning colour, starting it off using HONA long liner brush and painting lavender on half the pinky nail, then going on to the ring finger and using lemon sherbet again, painting it on half the nail, then a second coat as well, To make sure it's nice and even on my middle finger, I'm using the bluebird in the collection, stunning, stunning colour. Again, using two coats on my pointer finger, I'm using mink again, on half the nail, and using two coats,
Lastly, using Fern on my thumbnail. Of course, you can use any colour you want on any nail. I just like the colours that I've chosen today. So this is what kind of I've finished off with before I move on to the speckled top coat that comes with the kit as well. Only applying this on the side that I've put the colour on, I found that applying this thinly and with a light hand is what gives the best effect.
After you've cured that. I'm putting half a French on every nail corresponding to the colour that I put on previously to match up. I just want to give HONA a huge shout out for how amazing and pigmented these detail paints are. They just go on like, better. They're amazing. Like, if you haven't got any, you need some. I definitely say my top five detail paints are white, black, glitter, Arctic, mirror, silver and glitter rose. They're definitely the most used in my kit.
So now I'm just going to pop a super shine top coat on, because I find that this method for Chrome sticks better for myself. If you have your own alternative method, you carry on. But this is the way I've always done it, is I cure it then for 60 seconds, and I grab a White Block Buffer and I go over each and every one of the nails until they are completely matte.
After that process, then I'm gonna go in with the holo gold that doesn't come in the kit, but you can use kind of any colour you really want to. And I'm going right down the middle of the nail where it meets up with the pink. So just a nice thin line. Try and get as thin as possibly can. I'm still using the same long line of brush. I then cure that for 30 seconds using Espresso Martini then just buffing the chrome into the detail paint until it's completely covered, then straight after that, using the HONA duster brush absolutely phenomenal for getting every little bit of dust and chrome off. And of course, it can't be a mini egg look without a matte top coat. So a quick, speedy process of me popping that on, because that's a boring process. So you can leave it like that, if you like. But I wanted to keep it a little bit different, so I'm going down the middle of each nail on top of the chrome with a super shine top coat to make sure the chrome pops even more. And after that's been cured for 60 seconds, this is what it should look like. I think it's. Fun and a bit different than just plain mini egg. For me, I can't not finish a look without this hand sanitizer. Smells unreal. And last but not least, you can't finish off this mini egg look without mini egg cuticle oil on top of that, it smells incredible. And this is the final look. I hope you all enjoyed my little tutorial on something a bit different for Easter. And thank you again to HONA for making such a fun edit for spring if you've made it this far, thank you for watching and I hope you have a lovely Easter. Thank you. PS, this is your reminder to buy a bag of mini eggs.
